FAQ

What about Botox?

Have a few questions about Botox? Here are a few FAQs.

BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice your frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines temporarily look better.

What About Filler?

Have a few questions about Filler? Here are a few FAQs.

Most fillers offer temporary results and require repeat treatments to maintain the results, lasting 4-12 months.

What About PRP?

Have a few questions about PRP? Here are a few FAQs.

Typically, a PRP treatment takes between an hour or two to complete. This depends on if the PRP is administered through injections only, and/or micro-needled into the skin. This timeframe includes an additional 30 minutes for the blood to be drawn and spun in the centrifuge, and topical numbing to be applied.

What About PDO Thread Lifts?

Have a few questions about PDO Threads? Here are a few FAQs.

There are several different types of thread that can be used. Which will be recommended for you, will depend on the areas that you are targeting with the treatment and the type of improvement you are hoping to achieve. For example, cog threads are most commonly used to lift sagging tissue around the jaw and neck in order to improve the patient’s profile. Meanwhile, screw threads can be used for plumping and adding volume to deficient areas, such as the cheeks, as well as lifting. Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Carlos Mata, will be able to advise you which PDO threads you will need.
